Opening the Doors to Lacoste’s New Virtual Store – What to Expect
The Web3 virtual reality platform, Emperia, unveiled that it has been working with Lacoste to launch the fashion brand’s first-ever virtual store to celebrate the festive season.
Both firms have worked together to design and create a quirky three-dimensional VR shopping experience.
The rooms are based on numerous types of influential showrooms. When first entering the store, customers will find themselves walking through a crocodile’s mouth, symbolic of Lacoste’s brand. Then, they will have a 360 view of five seasonal products—all of which are readily available and buyable.
Moreover, to further entice customers, Emperia developed a gamification feature in the second room, which allows users to interact with Lacoste’s Christmas clothing range in a fun and exciting way.
Then, to further boost the selling of Lacoste’s NFTs, the third room is token gated. Thus, accessible to Lacoste NFT holders only and consists of additional perks.
Interestingly, Lacoste isn’t the only clothing retailer making moves in the Web3 space. Prada’s also launching NFT initiatives, alongside Reebok, Nike and Adidas.
