Grammy Award NFTs – A Must Have?
Latin Recording Academy signed a three-year agreement with the Web3 company OneOf. Therefore, the Latin Grammy Awards will highlight NFTs throughout the next three years.
“The Latin Recording Academy is committed to exploring innovative, new ways to celebrate excellence in Latin music and to connect music to other art forms in our culture, including visual and digital arts,”said Manuel Abud, CEO of the Latin Recording Academy, according to a blog post.
This year, each NFT collection will highlight Latin music starting October leading to the award show in Las Vegas, November 18.
The first drop of NFTs will coincide with the 64th Grammys, for which Binance is the official crypto exchange.
Binance took to Twitter to share the good news about the sponsorship:
The US-regulated cryptocurrency trading platform is said to be bringing numerous Web3 technology solutions and experiences to the Grammys, including its members, and events.
However, information regarding transactions with cryptocurrencies has not yet been disclosed.
The Grammys are also not the first award show with Web3 integrations. This year’s MTV Video Music Awards had an award category of “Best Metaverse Performance.”
