On Monday, the AnimeCoin Foundation introduced its latest venture, a web-based game named Gacha Grab, following the initial announcement of the AnimeChain project back in March. The game, inspired by the Japanese gachapon toy vending machines, combines the thrill of virtual slot machines with the world of digital collectibles.
Gacha Grab Will Engage Players with Digital Collectibles
Gacha Grab invites players to spin a dial, costing 100 credits per attempt, to win digital Gachapon collectibles. Each of these collectibles falls into one of eight categories, each with varying reward levels. Additionally, the game features a partnership with the Azuki NFT collection. Players owning any Azuki, Elementals, or Beanz NFTs can earn credits for use in Gacha Grab. Moreover, participants of the game’s inaugural Bonus Quest in March received an additional 100 bonus credits, enhancing their playing experience from the start.
The AnimeCoin Foundation has ranked Gachapon collectibles into three rarity levels: Esteemed, Grand, and Legend. Furthermore, players can enhance their chances of snagging rarer NFTs by forming “squads” with their NFTs or by advancing their Azuki profiles.
Community Engagement
Starting from April 6, the Foundation implemented a two-week event where players can earn double credits. This makes the game even more enticing. Players can track their standings and progress on the Gacha Grab leaderboard, building a competitive spirit among participants. It’s important to note that the Gachapons earned in the game are tied to the NFTs used to obtain them.
Launched by Chiru Labs in Los Angeles in January 2022, Azuki is an anime-themed NFT collection on the Ethereum blockchain. Currently, the floor price for these NFTs in secondary markets is about 4.9 ETH, equivalent to approximately $14,550.
Overall, the creation of AnimeChain by entities including the Arbitrum Foundation, Weeb3 Foundation, and Chiru Labs in March has established a new hub for anime-themed projects. Utilizing Arbitrum’s Ethereum scaling solutions, it aims to be a top platform in this niche. AnimeChain seeks to connect digital collectibles with the anime fanbase, establishing a new hub for anime-themed projects. This initiative enhances the NFT experience and expands the blockchain’s utility in innovative, themed digital interactions.
