Recently, Meta revealed the Quest 3 VR headset, promising a more immersive and interactive experience in the digital world. Moreover, the headset, priced at $499, boasts superior quality, featuring advanced chips and enhanced screens.
Meta’s New Quest 3 VR
The renowned technology company Meta has recently introduced its latest Quest 3 VR headset, which is worth $200 more than its competitors. Additionally, it will allow users to become aware of the environment outside the headset, which is a notable advancement.
Furthermore, with the new feature, users will feel less isolated and more comfortable using the headset for a longer duration. The device includes gestures and modes that will allow users to come out of the virtual world into the “passthrough” mode by double tapping. Besides, there are “pancake lenses,” which are a kind of optic to make images sharper and with higher resolution. Meta first used the “pancake lenses” on its $1,499 Quest Pro.
To date, Meta has sold around 10 million units of its last VR headset, Quest 2, as per an industry estimate. However, Meta’s current data does not suggest how many users they have on a daily or weekly basis. Apart from that, Apple is releasing its VR headset, which will not be released until next year and will start at $3,499.
Meta is Transforming Virtual Experiences with Quest 3 VR
The new advancements in the device will have a significant shift in user experiences. To begin with, the hardware and software are updated, the new headband is slimmer, and it splits into two to distribute the weight. Not to mention, the headset is a bit heavier, but the audio and video qualities are much better.
These announcements highlight Meta’s unwavering commitment to pioneering metaverse innovation and advancing the frontiers of virtual reality.
