In a recent development, Immutable has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to bring new projects. Moreover, the initiative is focused primarily on enhancing gaming experiences through the use of Web3 technology.
Immutable and AWS Alliance
The renowned Web3 gaming platform Immutable has revealed its plan to partner with Amazon Gaming Services (AWS). The company tweeted on October 10th and provided details about its plans and offerings. To begin with, the project will use blockchain technology to empower players and allow them to trade in-game assets.
Furthermore, they are planning to onboard more than 100 million gamers globally within two years. Also, Immutable is joining the AWS ISV Accelerate program, which will be essential for the project because of its software solutions. By doing so, Immutable hopes to reach more potential clients and make use of AWS’s vast resources in cloud computing and blockchain.
What’s more, projects related to Web3 gaming on the Immutable platform can join the AWS Activate program. Also, it will help them associate with potential customers and major game studios from around the world. Not to mention, the new initiative also aims to support startups by offering them advantages, including AWS credits, resources, training, and technical assistance. Besides, already existing partners of the company, including Magmabyte, can also benefit from this new project.
Immutable X AWS Partnership Impact Globally
The goal of introducing around 100 million gamers to Web3 gaming in the next two years seems promising. Additionally, participants can gain up to $100,000 in AWS credits and further expand their AWS infrastructure. Also, they can integrate, create, launch, and grow their Web3 games with Immutable’s expertise. So, it will surely attract new users.
There were concerns regarding the presence of gaming and Ethereum, along with the dependence on Amazon dominating about a third of the cloud services market. However, Michael Powell, product marketing lead at Immutable, addressed these concerns on October 11 to Fortune. He said, “A lot of blockchain purists are very big into the idea of decentralization and that everything has to be on-chain and that’s a massive deviation from where game developers actually build.”
Additionally, the collaboration signifies a step forward into the decentralized gaming world with the use of Web3 and blockchain technology. Finally, this will open new avenues in the digital space and attract new users.
